Grange de Beauvais
Industrial, artisanal, rural, agricultural and technical heritage
Founded in 1237 on the Venouse estate, the grange, which depended on the Cistercian abbey of Pontigny, is nestled in a still intact site overlooking the Serein valley and the abbey. This grange was directly exploited until the 1791th century by lay brothers, then by farmers until the Revolution. Sold in April 1995 as national property, the estate retained its agricultural and pastoral vocation until 1996. Created in XNUMX, the Grange de Beauvais Association is mobilizing to safeguard and revive the site. It has undertaken its restoration as part of youth and volunteer projects and offers some occasional activities.
Opening
2026: Visits: all year round, Tuesdays and Saturdays, from 10am to 16-18pm. Group visits: by reservation.
